Hi! I’m Emma Pass, author of historical romance for adults, and dark, gritty fiction for young adults. My debut novel, ACID, won the North East Teenage Book Award and was picked by YALSA as a Top Ten Amazing Audiobook for 2015, and both ACID and my second novel, The Fearless, were nominated for the Carnegie Medal. The Fearless also won the 2016 Concorde Book Award.
In March 2022, Aria Fiction/Head of Zeus published Before the Dawn, my debut novel for adults, a romance set during World War 2 about Ruby, a young reporter and Sam, an American soldier who gets caught up in the events of D-Day. My second adult novel, The Girl From Norway, will be out in August 2023.
I’ve also been commissioned to create a poetry-film for the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site, and written a non-fiction e-guide on characterisation for TLC Press.
There’s more information about my books and writing here, here and here.
When I’m not writing, I teach creative writing and am a reader for The Literary Consultancy. In addition, I offer a mentoring and editing service and offer writing workshops on Zoom. I also now offer a website building service for writers and other creatives. You can find out more about all of these things by clicking on the tabs above.
I’m represented by the brilliant Ella Kahn at Diamond, Kahn and Woods Literary Agency.
